Interview Time

Interview time is the time spent by active members in 1:1 meetings with participants from outside of the organisation. Interviews can be identified based on custom configurations (opens in a new tab) .

Computation of the metric

1. Participation data from platforms like Zoom and Google Meet is analyzed, identifying interviews by detecting the term "interview" within either the subject or description fields of the calendar or video meeting.
2. Workhours can be configured via the communication tab (opens in a new tab).

Use cases of this metric

1. Not all meeting time is a waste, engineers routinely spend time interviewing candidates and this time can be carved out as a separate category in the meeting breakdown
2. It is a good idea to create a Team in Hatica comprising your pool of interviewers & use this breakdown to assess how much time the team is spending interviewing.
3. Similarly, for teams that have open positions this breakdown provides a week-on-week breakdown of how much time the team is spending in interviews.
